Whether you’re an experienced rider or just fancy a guided trek with the family, you’ll find what you’re looking for at the Birr Equestrian Centre located just a few minutes drive from the County Arms.
Open 7 days a week for riding lessons, they also offer a variety of options for cross country treks-with or without tuition-including treks in the fabulous Slieve Bloom Mountains. You could also arrange a couple of days activity during your stay here and even combine horse riding with the other activities on offer like Archery and Laser Shooting. Or if the kids are more into it than you are, why not treat them to a seasonal pony camp while you explore the many other great things to do in Birr. Or, of course, you could simply treat yourself to a relaxing day at the pool here in the hotel – we promise we won’t tell if you don’t!
